Life
Life

Skeletons are often seen as something scary or a symbol of death. Yet for me, I see them as something lovely. Every person has a skeleton; it's the very structure of our bodies. It contains and protects the life within. Flowers, while beautiful, are fragile and temporary. Much like how life contained within us is also fragile and temporary.

Breathe
Breathe

Anxiety. The weight of the world, my stress, my problems, dragging me deep underwater. My heart races, and I begin to panic. I thrash and flail to no avail. But it’s not real. There is no real purpose to feeling this way. Let go. Breathe.

Sunken Knight
Sunken Knight

Had it really been a beautiful maiden beckoning to him? Or had it been a more sinister creature in disguise? He had been a fool to follow it, and an even bigger fool not to remove his heavy armor before letting himself be drawn into the lake...

Rootless
Rootless

"Noble trees - awake from your slumber and join me in dance. My magic can move you from the earth.

Oh rootless one, though we have woken from our long sleep to answer your call, we shall not be moved

- for we are rooted."

Seasons

“I too know the sun on my leaves. I feel the changing of seasons and know also the buzzing of bees. With a touch, I change from cypress to birch, from birch to oak, from oak to elm - to become even more a sister to you. ”

‘I had been really wanting to do this extreme pink/green/purple colour palette forever - and this seemed like the perfect time. Painting the bees was my favourite part - there are 7 of them.”

“Dance young rootless sister, enjoy your youth and your life. Perhaps one day you will grow tired of dance and of change. Perhaps one day you will desire to know a life that is quiet and still. Perhaps then you will be the one to be altered

-for then you shall become rooted.”

Cat Nap
Cat Nap

Was this magic? The air felt so warm and heavy. Wasn’t it fall? Shouldn’t it be colder? The light was dimming, the bioluminescent mushrooms began to glow - this glade, magical or not, was the perfect place for a cat nap.
